Football at Grassroot level got a major boost with the announcement of a Super Football League which aims to bring together the very best Grassroot football teams all over Nigeria in a Competition themed – UNITED FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

In a meeting on June 10th duly televised by Nigerian’s Television Company – LTV, Sporting big names came together to discuss about the New League which they say would be the next big thing in Nigeria in a bid to bring forth the best players and give them the due recognition they deserve. The Organisers signed a Memorandum of understanding to ensure the matches of the New League are televised live to ensure Nigerians follow their favorite grassroot teams.

Chairman of the League – Mr Emmanuel Udeogu stated that the bid of the league was to transform the face of NIGERIAN football to dorn more recognition on the Nigerian footballing scene while also stating that the Competition also was working hand in hand with reputable Footballers who had ensured thier support to make the League superb.

Vice Chairman of the League – Emeka Ehirim also shed more light stating that the UNITED FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP would be played by the best grassroots teams in Nigeria to ensure it’s competitiveness is met while also assuring that it would be a league worth watching out for as major Grassroot teams like 96CHAMPIONS, Box – Box, G12, DOMINION HOTSPUR amongst others were highlighted to be taking a part in this new look franchise.

League is expected to start August as the organisers put finishing touches to ensure it’s a cracker.
