Olympique de Marseille have signed Colombian forward Luis Suarez on a five-year deal, the Ligue 1 club announced on Wednesday. Luis Suárez joined Granada on a transfer from English club Watford after performing at a high level for Zaragoza and has spent two seasons with the red and white outfit.
The 24-year old Colombian striker was unable to prevent the Andalusians from being relegated from the first tier but nevertheless scored eight times and registered four assists in his 37 appearances.
He has also been a Colombian international since 2020, and made four appearances but is yet to score for his country. He came up through the ranks at Leones before a move to Watford, for whom he never played.
Suárez becomes the latest signing in this transfer window for Marseille and the first non-defensive signing after the arrivals of Isaak Touré and Chancel Mbemba.
Marseille have also signed 29-year old Frenchman, Jonathan Clauss from Lens
