EPL REVIEW AND PREVIEW – MD3-6 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Alot has happened since the last time we were here and we would very well catch you up on speed with what has been happening in the Best League in the world. Without Further ado, let’s get on with it.

  • LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp and his boys have not had the best season thus far but seem to be making up for it, a defeat in match day 3 to Manchester United had since been answered with a 9-0 mauling of AFC Bournemouth and a 2-1 win over Newcastle United as they find themselves 7 points away from the EPL summit. Up next is a Merseyside Derby clash with Everton.

Aston Villa has had a terrible run of games with defeats to West Ham, Crystal Palace and Arsenal in the last 3 Matchdays condemning them to 19th place standings on the EPL log after 5 matches, the fixtures don’t get much easier as they entertain a high flying Manchester City side at the Villa Park with Steven Gerrard aiming for his second win of the season.

Crystal Palace have enjoyed a fair share of points over their last 3 matches with a win, loss and draw seeming to be be a good return with a victory to Aston Villa, a loss versus Manchester City and recently a home 1-1 draw versus Brentford enough to keep Patrick Vieira and his boys in the mix as they start off their first 5 games with a 5 points haul.

AFC Bournemouth have a series of bad luck hitting the squad with the club having the worst goal difference in the EPL and sacking gaffer Scott Parker after a series of losses to Arsenal (3-0) and mauling at the hands of Liverpool (9-0), they began life without the manager with a 0-0 home draw to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Vitality Stadium.

The Foxes haven’t quite figured out their season yet as a run of four consecutive EPL losses have left them at the bottom of the EPL log with just 1 point from a possible 15. They know they need to kick-start their season in earnest and have the chance to do so when they visit the American Express Community Stadium with a trip to Brighton looming for Brednan Rodgers.

West Ham United seem to have robbed off early season mishaps away as The Hammers have earned four points in their last 3 matches to push them to a 14th place current standings. They have the London Derby next as the travel to the Bridge to take on The Blues in what would prove to be a fiesty encounter.

The Red Devils have enjoyed success in their last 3 matches with 3 consecutive wins putting the team in pole position after wins versus Liverpool, Southampton and Leicester City earning them a 5th place finish with two cleansheets on the bounce, they however face a stiff fixture as they entertain a visit to in form group leaders Arsenal as they bid to keep their season in track.

Leeds United have enjoyed a fine run so far in the EPL compared to early season’s with the team’s resounding 3-0 win over Chelsea met with a 1-0 loss to Brighton on MD4 and having to come from a goal behind to draw 1-1 with Everton leaving them in the 7th position. They travel to Bramall Lane next as they visit Brentford.

Southampton have enjoyed a good run especially with performances in their last 3 games earning them 2 wins against Leicester City and Chelsea and pushing them to 9th on the table. They travel to Molineux next with a trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers next for Ralph Hasenhuttl and his boys.

Chelsea have suffered two defeats in their last three meetings as they lack consistent performances seeing Thomas Tuchel and his boys falling to 10th place on the table after defeat in MD5 to Southampton. They face an even tougher test as they play West Ham United next in the London Derby as Tuchel chases his third win of the season as new signings in the transfer window clearly indicating they are looking to turn their season around.

Manchester City have gone firing on all cylinders in the EPL with the team scoring 13 goals in their last 3 matches while picking up 7 points in that run as they aim to make it 3 wins on the bounce with a trip to to Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa and next on the fixture list for The Cityzens.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are still in search of their first win of the season as they find themselves languishing in the relegation zone with a loss and 2 draws in thier last 3 matches seeming frustrating Wolves. They play at home next as they welcome Southampton in what would be an entertaining encounter.

They travel to Anfield on Saturday in hopes to get their first win of the season against Liverpool at the Merseyside Derby.

Fulham have started return to the EPL in style with the team picking off from where they left from in the Championship. They have lost one game this season (2-1 MD4 v Arsenal) and have enjoyed 2 wins in their last 3 matches while enjoying a current 8th placed finish on the EPL log, they face a rejuvenated Tottenham Hotspur side next as they look go cause more problems to the Big Boys this season.

The League side have scored 10 goals this season, only Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have scored more.

Newcastle United have had a fine start in the EPL with MD5 2-1 defeat to Liverpool the only blemish to their fine record on the league’s proceedings. They resume hostilities as they welcome a Fine Crystal Palace side to the St James Park as they look to get their first win since Matchday 1.

Antonio Conte and The Lilywhites have had a great start to the 22/23 EPL season having notched up 3 wins and 2 draws in what has been an unbeaten start for them. They play a tricky Fulham clash next as they know they threat the team poses in games.
