The 2022/2023 SEASON kicks off August and with teams already making big moves in the transfer window, it’s safe to say Arsenal have been ruthless in thier transfer dealings with as many as 4 signings for The Gunners, let’s take a look at all four players who are Emirate Bound for the upcoming season.

Matt Turner joined the Arsenal side from MLS Club – New England Revolution with the 28 year old American International already having a wealth of experience on his shoulders before making the move, he seems to be a back up to Aaron Ramsdale especially with speculations of Bernd Leno’s departure the rumors in the transfer market.

United States goalkeeper Matt Turner says he has been “able to realise a dream” after completing his move to Arsenal and with 102 appearances for his former club and over 18 appearances for the US national team, it remains to see how well the Shot Stopper would adapt at Arsenal.

Arsenal’s next big move in the transfer market was the signing of Portuguese and FC Porto’s attacking midfield talent – Fabio Daniel Ferreira Vieira in a deal both Edu Gasper and Mikel Arteta seem very excited about with the player’s versatility and flair a major boost for Arsenal with his creativity and contribution in the final third a great plus for Arsenal as they hope to boost their attacking threat next season.

With all of his football played in Portugal, The Premier League is seen as a big step for the Portuguese Magician with as many as 54 appearances for Fc Porto and part of the titles winning squad in 19/20 and 21/22 all a testament to the experience he has gathered over time and with the league already close, it remains to see how the 22 year old settles into his new team. Mikel Arteta added: ”I am very excited that we have identified and signed such a special talent. Fabio is a very creative player that will bring high quality and versatility to our attacking play. We welcome Fabio and his family to our club and are looking forward to starting work with him ahead of the new season.”

Marcus Vinicius Oliveira Alencar, better known as Marquinhos is a Brazilian winger who played for Brazil Serie A side – Sao Paulo and also part of the squad that recently won the Compeonato Paulista in 2021. The highly rated winger comes in for Arsenal and it remains to see how much of him would be used this season as Pre-season would look to see if he is ready to step into a Gunner shirt.

Having made appearances for Brazil in u-16 and u-17 events, it is most likely a matter of time before the 19 year old makes the National Team and with as many as 33 appearances for Sao Paulo last season, it’s said that the player would fit in into the Arsenal’s gameplay easily. Technical director Edu said: “We’re delighted to have completed the transfer with Sao Paulo, as Marquinhos was a player we had been watching for a while. At 19, he is still very young, so he is a player for the future. We look forward to Marquinhos now joining us for pre-season, making his new home, and continuing to grow and develop with us.”

By far the best signing for Arsenal this season, Gabriel Jesus comes to fill in the attacking void Arsenal has lacked since the departure of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona with the Brazilian’s signing sending the good vibes around the Arsenal faithful all over the world and with the wealth of experience the player brings in, settling into the EPL shouldn’t be much of a problem especially since he is moving from a fellow EPL side – Manchester City.

The 25 year old’s signing is truly remarkable with his stats on display for the footballing world to see. Gabriel Jesus is Manchester City’s third top all time highest goal scorer in the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE and scored over 95 goals in total for the EPL giants with 58 EPL goals, 20 UCL goals, 10 FA CUP goals and 7 EFL goals all showing how robust he can be in attack for the Arsenal team. The 25-year-old has been at the club having his medical and finalising personal terms after he was seen with Gunners technical director Edu Gaspar on Tuesday, as he prepares to become Arsenal’s latest attacking recruit this summer.

Arsenal still look to sign few more players before the transfer window shuts close with The Gunners still in talks with Ajax over a deal for centre-back Lisandro Martinez, They look to have lost out in the race for Leeds United forward Raphinha with Barcelona and Chelsea already in the forefront of that deal. Arsenal have cooled their interest in Youri Tielemans making it more likely the Belgium midfielder will sign a one-year contract extension at Leicester but are still on tabs with many other big profile names with Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen amongst others and with the return of Lucas Torreira and William Saliba after impressive loan outings, it remains to see if Arsenal can do better than thier 5th placed finish last season.
