The North London side have been busy in this summer’s transfer window having already signed 3 players (Matt Turner, Fabio Viera and Marquinhos). The Gunners have continued to bolster their squad and they have signed Manchester City’s Striker Gabriel Jesus to cover up for the departure of French Striker Alexandre Lacazette who left on a Free transfer to Lyon.
Arsenal completed the signing of Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus on a long-term contract from Premier League champions Manchester City for £45m. The 25-year-old moves to the Emirates after undergoing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Gabriel Jesus on his switch to Arsenal “I followed Arsenal when I was young because of [Thierry] Henry. Obviously I didn’t follow too many European teams but when I saw some of the players that played here, I was like “wow, this club is big.”
“I believe 100% in Mikel. He helped me a lot at Manchester City. We would always stick together after training sessions and do some finishing or something. He’s a very intelligent guy so if he knows something, he can teach me or the young players,” Jesus said.
The Brazilian Striker would wear the No. 9 shirt for Arsenal football club this forthcoming season. The North London are not stopping there as they are still looking to secure the signatures of Youri Tielemans and Ajax star Lisandro Martinez.
